Actor Rejects Anti-Vax Stance After Narrating Controversial Pandemic Feature

The acclaimed actor has given his vocal talents to a new documentary that casts doubt on the legitimacy of immunizations and praises one-time government figure Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Film's Disputed Basis

Titled "Plague of Corruption," the documentary is based on a bestselling book written by a controversial scientist, who gained notoriety during the health crisis for claims that the illness was linked to a problematic version of the influenza shot.

Her writing partner, the executive producer, has penned books with controversial figure Alex Jones. The producer recently posted celebrating Neeson's role in the project.

A Firm Rebuttal

A spokesperson for Liam Neeson have released a statement pushing back against implications that he holds anti-immunization beliefs.

"Many understand that unethical practices can exist within the drug industry, but that must not be equated to being against vaccines," the statement reads. "Liam never has been, and cannot be described as, anti-vaccination. His extensive work with Unicef highlights his enduring support for worldwide vaccination initiatives."

It noted that the actor had no hand in the documentary's messaging and that questions about its content ought to go to the filmmakers.

Central Claims In the Feature

In the film, the script spoken by Neeson includes several provocative points:

  • It suggests that pro-vaccine voices have called for "blind obedience" to government bodies.
  • It posits that "research has become deeply influenced by politics."
  • Robert F Kennedy Jr is interviewed claiming, "The core flaw with vaccines is that they are not adequately tested."
  • The narration also criticizes Covid lockdowns, claiming they caused severe distress that cost thousands of lives.
  • Concerning the immunizations, it mentions a perspective that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "risky trials."

Past Controversy and Ongoing Debates

The documentary further cites a historical film about HIV drug testing on children, which was subsequently the topic of a BBC apology by the corporation for editorial breaches.

Recently, Kennedy directed the CDC to alter its official position that there is no causal relationship between immunizations and autism. This assertion is repeated in the documentary, despite a recent study from the global health body stating no evidence has been found.

A Past Position of Endorsement

Contrasting the documentary's message, Neeson has in the past voiced clear advocacy for vaccines in his capacity as a Unicef global ambassador.

Two years ago, he referred to vaccines as "an extraordinary human success story," noting that "The debate about vaccines in the past few years has overlooked how much benefit they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest collective achievements in human history."

"Plague of Corruption" finishes with Neeson's voice saying, "This isn't the conclusion of our journey. This is the beginning of a different phase."
